Very nice people and food that's like home cooked meals.

Love the atmosphere, Christian music playing. Service was great, food is home cooked style.

Cozy and kind staff. The food was decent and the atmosphere was pleasant for the most part. I don’t even remember what we ordered. Unexciting and plain. Despite the kind service, I doubt we will return.

Was visiting from out of town and went with friends who are local. The pork sandwhich was wonderful and my children enjoyed their burgers. Clean, excellent staff and great food!

Great American food, however 3/4 of the menu is fried items so if you are counting calories you need to be prepared. Great homemade desserts as well!

This place has the best home style food around. The waitstaff is very friendly. Excellent food choices. This is definitely one of my top places to eat when I eat out. The meatloaf was amazing. Everything was so delicious. The place is really well kept and clean. The price isn't bad for the quality of food you're getting and the specials are really good deal.

Fried pickles and mushrooms was very good. I got potato soup and didn't like it very much. The service was great and friendly. The place was very clean. My husband got a hamburger and sweet potato fries. He like both of them.

Great home style cooking, large portions and good service. Very popular for lunch. The lunch specials are always good as well, especially for the price.

Everything was delicious and fresh. Finished off with a piece of carrot cake big enough for two.

Chicken Fried Chicken ... Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Mac&Cheese ...creamy, cheesy. Tasty cream gravy. Slightly crisp broccoli. Nicely browned yeast roll. Most enjoyable.

Everything was over cooked. Gone many times and it was really good. Tonight made not want to go back again. The owner came out with an attitude and knocked a whole $4 off the meal.

We used to eat at The Mustard Seed once a week when my husband was stationed at Ft. Polk. It is a cute little restaurant just outside the gate. We have eaten many different dishes at this restaurant. A couple of our favorites are the fried catfish, the chicken fried chicken with white pepper gravey, and the hamburger steak. They have many sides to choose to accompany your main dish. The service has always been very good. The waitresses are friendly and efficient. Sad to say we are no longer in the area because I miss their chicken fried chicken with white pepper gravey.

We went to the Mustard Seed recently to meet family before an outing. I choose this restaurant because geographically we wanted somewhere in Leesville and it was the the #1 rated restaurant in Leesville on Trip Advisor. It seemed like a good place to meet up. First impression was that we had the wrong place. Is this really even in Leesville? The restaurant sign shows clear Phillip Morris influence (it looks like they just blew up a pack of Marlboro Reds). The restaurant itself shows the potential new life for defunct 7-11’s. Inside was a strong Christian theme. Moving past that, the place was great. It has a strong family restaurant vibe. The wait staff were attentive and adorable. The food was good, simple fare. Large portions and good prices. I can see the appeal, and we might even come back if in the area. Warning: limited hours. 11-3 Monday to Thursday, 3-8 Friday and Saturday. Closed on Sunday.

Not overly crowded on a Friday night. Attentive, courteous service from Courtney. Fried catfish beautiful, chicken livers fabulous, turnip greens delectable, mac & cheese creamy and comforting, sauteed squash scrumptious, french fries perfectly golden, crisp on the outside and not greasy. Buttermilk pie like my grandma made (let it cool a bit before partaking).
